The Guild is Looking for New Board Members!

The Guild Board is currently seeking up to 3 individuals to join our board and help shape the future of this vital arts and culture hub in Charlottetown, PEI.

About The Guild

The Guild is a not-for-profit arts and culture hub with a provincial mandate to engage new, emerging, and professional artists, creative industries, and community organizations. We present a range of performances in our 90-seat venue, provide rehearsal space, and offer networking and promotional opportunities for Island artists. The Guild is a space for creation, exposure, and community connection where everyone is welcome.

About the Board

The Guild is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors consisting of nine members. Directors serve a three-year term and can be re-elected for up to two additional terms. The Board meets monthly, with members participating in one or more subcommittees. We seek individuals from diverse backgrounds, especially those experienced in the arts, human resources, accounting, law, or administration. We welcome those engaged in or passionate about the arts community on PEI.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to strategic planning and high-level discussions about the direction of The

  • Guild;

  • Review and approve governance policies and procedures;

  • Support the work of The Guild staff;

  • Oversee financial management, including annual financial statement review;

  • Advocate for The Guild and engage with the arts community.

Selection Process

  • Eligible applications will be considered and evaluated by the Board of Directors Nominations Sub-Committee and nominations will be forwarded to the Board of Directors for consideration.

  • Applicants will be evaluated based on their skills, experience, and perspectives that can support The Guild’s mission, relevant background or interest in the arts, and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
