Join a Focus Group and help shape The Guild’s Strategic Plan
As a community arts hub, The Guild will work best if it’s responsive and receptive to community need. As everyone knows, we’re down to skeleton staff and skeleton operations at the moment - but that’s the perfect time to dream, even if we’re not quite yet able to implement.
Focus Groups are an opportunity to talk about your needs as an artist, contributor, community member, neighbour or arts appreciator - and we’d love to have you along.
Focus Groups will start in January as a series of conversations to be conducted by an experienced facilitator from outside of the current Board and Staff. Each Focus Group will be made up of six people, and groups with heavy interest - such as music and visual arts, are likely to have 2 focus groups apiece.
Following the initial art-form specific focus groups, we’ll ask 2 people from each art-form specific group to join a broader group for a second round of conversation. This will help us all to become more aware of the needs of the broader cultural community outside of our own art form.
Conversations will be a mixture of in person during business hours, after hours, and via remote access to allow a broad range of participation. If you would like to register, please visit the link below by January 10th (but the sooner the better).
Focus groups will start the week commencing January 13th.
