Art With Heart Winner Announced

Charlottetown – The ‘Art With Heart’ ticket raffle has come to a close and a winner was drawn on October 5th at The Guild.
The winner is Cheryl Preston from Orwell Cove, PEI. She is the proud owner of the 3’ x 4’ mosaic artwork created by 15 island visual artists.
When told she had won the mosaic, Preston exclaimed, “I can’t believe it!” The house in the famous John Sylvester photograph (which served as the basis for the mosaic) is one she is quite familiar with and sees every day on her way to work. She so enjoyed the mosaic artwork that she “downloaded a copy of the image and made it my desktop on my computer!”
The project was one year in the making and all proceeds from the lottery are being split equally between the Heart & Stroke Foundation of PEI and The Guild, both non-profit organizations.
Both organizations are grateful to the public, sponsors MBS Radio, Music PEI, Casa Mia, Chocolate Elements, the PEI Council of the Arts, John Sylvester, volunteers, the media and theatres across PEI who all helped to promote the project and the artists themselves for their support of this initiative.
