Fall Flavours Supports Art With Heart Fundraiser
September 14, 2009

Art With Heart is a fundraising partnership between The Heart and Stroke Foundation of PEI and The Guild to raise money through a raffle on an island scenic mosaic created by 15 island visual artists.

The Fall Flavours Festival is proud to be supporting this fundraising initiative by encouraging ticket sales on this raffle at various locations during their own calendar of events.

Representatives of both beneficiaries will be located at the Founder’s Hall Visitor Information Centre in Charlottetown during book signing events by chef Michael Smith on September 26 and 27, October 1, 2 and 3 between the hours of 3-4 pm.

The mosaic will also be on display for the final time during the Farm Day In The City event held on October 4 in downtown Charlottetown.

“We have extended our draw date to October 5th in order to take advantage of this partnership with the Fall Favours Festival but this will be the absolute last opportunity for anyone to purchase tickets on this wonderful piece of art”, says Cate Proctor, executive director at The Guild.

“Each ticket purchase includes a 5 x 7 keepsake of the mosaic, suitable for framing. We have also added additional draws for Island musician’s CD’s and gift certificates to local retailers”, says Charlotte Comrie, executive director of the Heart & Stroke Foundation of PEI.

Tickets for the Art With Heart mosaic are also available at The Guild’s box office during regular box office hours, Tuesday-Saturday, 12noon-5pm throughout the remainder of September.
