‘Art With Heart’, presented by The Heart & Stroke Foundation of PEI and The Guild, is in its final month of ticket sales and organizers are sweetening the pot by providing additional prize incentives for a special one-day blitz.

 

On Friday, August 28^th, between 12 noon and 5pm, any tickets purchased will be added to a second draw for more than 25 prizes being awarded that day. Prizes include: PEI Symphony tickets for the upcoming season; gift certificates from local business, including Chocolate Elements on Victoria Row; free one-year memberships for the PEI Council of the Arts; CD’s from local, Island artists via Music PEI; and other great prizes.

 

Prize draws will be made throughout the day so early ticket purchases provide the best chance to win a daily draw.

 

Box Office sponsor, MBS Radio, will be on-site with up-to-date information of the event and treats from their cruiser.

 

The Art With Heart fundraiser kicked off on May 1 and winds up on September 30^th. Funds are being raised through the sale of tickets on a collaborative, visual art mosaic that incorporates the talent of 15 Island artists who recreated a scenic Island photo, donated by John Sylvester. Every ticket purchase includes a 5x7 print of the mosaic, suitable for framing.

 

The artwork is available for viewing at The Guild’s box office where tickets can be purchased at a cost of $20 each.

 

Tickets can also be purchased over the phone at 620-3333 during regular box office hours. The draw date to select a winner of the original artwork is set for September 30^th, 2009.

 

All proceeds raised from this event are distributed between each of the two non-profit organizations - The Heart & Stroke Foundation of PEI and The Guild.
