2009 Gotta Go Festival Sponsor Announced
May 20, 2009

Peter Mullins, Director of Business Development, Freedom 55 Financial presents $5,000 contribution to Cate Proctor, Executive Director of The Guild in support of the 2009 Gotta Go Festival. Through The Key to Giving™, the national corporate citizenship program of Great-West Life, London Life and Canada Life, Freedom 55 Financial is title sponsor of the Festival, which runs from July to September.

The Guild is pleased to announce that Freedom 55 Financial™, the financial security planning division of London Life, is returning as title sponsor for the 2nd annual Gotta Go Summer Festival in Charlottetown.

The 2009 Gotta Go Festival will celebrate a variety of local music, theatre, comedy, film and gallery exhibitions from July to September, with a few acts ‘from away’ also gracing the Guild stage and gallery.

“We are pleased to support the efforts of artists and performers through The Guild facility,” says Peter Mullins, Director of Business Development for Freedom 55 Financial in Prince Edward Island. “We look forward to helping the Festival flourish in 2009, especially following such a successful, inaugural presentation last year.”

Freedom 55 Financial’s support comes through The Key to Giving™, the national corporate citizenship program of Great-West Life, London Life and Canada Life. Through The Key to Giving, the companies contribute to non-profit, charitable and community organizations across the country to address health and wellness, education, social services, arts and culture and civic initiatives. The Key to Giving program also supports the volunteer involvement of staff and financial security advisors in their efforts to help meet the needs of the communities in which they live and work.

Cate Proctor, Executive Director of The Guild, confirmed that the lineup for the upcoming festival will be announced shortly. “We are finalizing a few last minute details to the festival lineup and will be making an announcement very soon.”

I decided on the spur of the moment to come to The Guild. It was a great experience - all performers. - March 2010
