TALENT PEI MIXES MUSIC AND FASHION FOR CHILDREN’S WISH FOUNDATION FUNDRAISER
Talent PEI presents the second edition of its local talent showcase “F.L.A.R.E.-Above and Beyond”, tapping the potential of the Island’s rising stars in music, fashion, dance and more, on February 28th at The Guild in Charlottetown. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Children’s Wish Foundation.
Talent PEI held auditions for “F.L.A.R.E” (Fashion Launching and Real Entertainment) on February 1, 2009 and has been inspired by a true sense of adventure. Several new acts will grace the entertainment stage with never-before-heard music compilations, dance routines and fashion lines.
“Sunsets on the Eastside” are back! The fashion design team from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island is showcasing their spring Collection. Kimberly Rashed Designs from Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island is expected to open eyes with its fresh, innovative women’s clothing.
“F.L.A.R.E.- Above and Beyond” is unveiling a new aspect to the annual event. Following the evening’s creative display of local artists mesmerizing your eyes and ears, two of the most talented disc jockeys mix it up at a glamorous After Party. New-vibe DJ Tim Kelly’s vivacious presence will electrify the masses, while JAKT is sure to get partygoers on their feet with cool vibes and hypnotic beat. Attendees of the after party must be of legal age and will run from 10:30pm to 1:00am.
“F.L.A.R.E.-Above and Beyond” will be held at The Guild in downtown Charlottetown on Saturday, February 28 at 8:30 pm. Doors open at 8:00pm, allowing you entrance to the Gallery where you will mingle in style while viewing artwork showcased by local artists. Tickets are $18, and may be purchased at The Guild Box Office or by calling 620-3333. Proceeds from “F.L.A.R.E.- Above and Beyond” benefit The Children’s Wish Foundation.
